Fairing the Cockpit Floor
After chasing all the shiny spots for a few hours, and sanding off any remnants of the old gelcoat, I vacuumed aggressively, and mixed up a cup of 105 with 207 hardener and primed the surface. After priming, it was two coats of 410 applied with the roller again. It was hot in the garage last night, and I while I was pushing the pace, I was a little disappointed that the filler didn't self level as much as when it's colder and it has more time to relax. While the photos take just a few moments to post up, the total process took around 8 hours. That said, it goes on easier than it sands off.
