Jib Track Redux
Here's a little series of pics that show the sunken jib track fabrication. I'm hoping to use Keysert fasteners for these as well, so I cored the bed, and added a RBS batten in there to have something for the threads to bite into. I used 6 layers of 12oz DB90 positioned at various thread-line orientations, with half above and below the core.
The trickiest part of the process was nailing down the precise alignment required. I used several monofilm templates to position these in the boat, as well as the wire that I pull back from the forestay terminus to check fore and symmetry.
