Caul Plates
I asked Jim Betts how to do this process, and I am more/less trying to follow his advice. He said to keep the carbon from buckling at the top of the round when bagging I needed to put a pressure intensifier in the bag.
Later I told Dalton the process, and he said they do it all the time for airplane parts, and that it's called a "caul plate." My unbelievably patient wife, Jacque, called them Lucky Charms.
I hope they are lucky enough to keep the mast in the boat.
