Jim Betts turned me onto Keyserts during my visit to his amazing Anacortes shop.  I am crossing my fingers that these things are amazing, as with low ceilings, I want to avoid through-bolting fasteners.  My scalp just can't handle screw heads and nuts.  The trick is that you need to get G10 pegs adhered to both skins to really have confidence.  By using the old monofilm pattern and drilling down from the top, then flipping and coring, I managed to get each one placed.  For good measure, I roughly star-fished the pegs to eliminate any possible future failure by over torquing a fastener.
