Skinning the Beast
After talking to Kris Henderson, Jim Betts, and Jason Rhodes, I finally committed to my layup schedule. I decided we would have something like 11oz twill, and 12oz DB90 on the outer skin, and just a single 11oz twill for the inner shell.
As this was my first large-scale layup since the wingsail project so many years ago, I decided I needed some extra hands. I had a good plan, but I was still nervous. After getting everything ready to go, and making flattened patterns for all the carbon panels, I managed to convince the great Collin Taylor and Crista to help.
What I didn't know is just how much I would learn from these two.
